Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal (HOP), powered by Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, is the county’s premier gateway connecting young people to future employment, apprenticeship and training opportunities.

We know that young people have been hit hard by the pandemic and now more than ever they need to know where to access information to help make decisions about their future career paths, training and skills development options.

To help spread the word about this fantastic free resource, Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership is offering £3,000 to the school or youth group that registers the most young people, their parents and carers on HOP.

The organisation with the most individual registrations on HOP by 9th July 2021 will be awarded a prize of £3,000 to go towards careers education resources. The prize will be presented in person by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE CStJ.

***** We have been advised that there may be firewall access restrictions within schools preventing you from accessing the below link; if this is the case we encourage students and parents to register from smart phones or home devices or consult with the school’s IT Manager. We will also be looking into the problem ******

Adrian Hawkins OBE, Chair, Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership’s Skills and Employment Board (SAP) and Chair, Stevenage Development Board: “It is vital that young people, their parents and carers know about HOP. This is why we are offering a £3,000 prize to the school or youth group which secures the most registrations. HOP is the vital link between the county’s many superb educational establishments and the support services available. We are delighted HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire is supporting this competition. Where there is HOP, there is HOPE!”
