We love to hear your positive stories, as well as your charity endeavors – the best story from this week reached us from Ambassadors Haines Watts. Their fabulous Portfolio Manager Shirley Hall finally managed to take part in a sky dive for The Hospice of St Francis. Despite many delays due to Covid and the good old British weather, Shirley finally took the plunge this weekend, at her sixth attempt, bathed in beautiful sunshine.
“I have this wish to live life to the full and not regret not doing something,” Said Shirley “Having reached the grand old age of 60 + I want to prove I can still have adventures. Why am I not content to keep my feet firmly on the ground? My sister died of pancreatic cancer at 48 and she still had so much she wanted to do. I now realise life can be very short and you should not put off something you want to do. Chris’ last few months were not easy but the support she received from professionals and family helped her to prepare for the end of her life. The hospice is a warm and comforting place where laughter and tears mingle. The support they offer is tremendous and the care and thoughtfulness has no boundaries. I want to help them continue this care and this is a small way to give back to an exceptional charity who give so much.”
Shirley has so far raised over a thousand pound for the Hospice and those still want to donate can do so here:
