One Million Steps

We are constantly hearing of the need to keep fit and healthy during this pandemic, two of our Ambassadors have proved that a challenge is a perfect way of achieving a healthy lifestyle.

Mark Williams of Pensar  and Rachel McGuiness of Wake Up with Zest  have recently completed the one million steps challenge. Mark raising funds for Kokrobite Chiltern Centre and Rachel for PIE Project.

The pair pulled on their walking boots and completed the One Million Steps: Building A Healthier World For Giving™ challenge on Day 98 despite having to quarantine for 14 days. They completed their challenge on the beautiful Ivinghoe Beacon.

Rachel commented on LinkedIn: “I didn’t run a marathon for charity, but I walked 500 miles – just like the song🎵 but in 100 days.” We wonder when she will be walking 500 more. Rachel documented her challenge on the @wakeupwithzest Instagram account.

The next “One Million Steps” challenge begins on the 1st October, challenging participants to walk 500 miles in 100 days.

Ranjit Ghoshal the founder of the “One Million Steps”  challenge says: “Walking is great for our physical and mental health. But we tell ourselves we can’t find the time, we’re tired, we’ll start tomorrow. Walk, jog, run or even dance your way to 10,000 steps a day for 100 days. Those one million steps add up to awesome 500 miles!”

This is a great challenge and a fantastic way of our businesses to raise money for their favourite charity, we are working on bringing together a HHBA team for the January challenge – can you walk 500 miles and will Mark and Rachel join us to walk 500 more?
