Ambassador the Marlowes Centre have asked us to share this charity request from Raise – Raise is the Charity which supports West Herts three NHS hospitals.
They have an emergency appeal live at the moment to try and supply 100 iPads or tablets for patients in isolation. There is currently no visitation at any of the hospitals and this is making the patients more anxious. Most of these patients are elderly and do not have access to smart phones. If any of our Ambassadors are able to help please see the full information below or if you are able to donate they have a JustGiving page. If you donate please put iPad – HHBA & Marlowes in the comments.
West Herts COVID-19 Appeal – How you can help
We have had many, very generous offers from our local community looking for a way they can help and support our hardworking NHS staff and volunteers during this unprecedented time.
We have set up a Just Giving page to allow Raise, our hospital charity, to accept donations and use the funds to make a real difference to the people who need it most in the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Your kind donations will help us provide things like radios and toiletries for patients who may be in isolation, as well as refreshments and ways to unwind for all of the hardworking staff in our busy wards and departments. Our staff have said these items alongside the messages of kindness and support can give them a real boost and encouragement to keep going in the toughest times.
Please note, we are not able to accept donations without prior notification. If you would like to donate food or goods to our staff or patients you must email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. Please do not just turn up at our hospitals as we have visiting restrictions in place.
