Environment Hero

We’re looking for green business heroes who are working towards sustainability and the protection of our environment. Are you a business that has introduced new eco-friendly products or services? Have you introduced a plastic ban on product packaging? Or any other internal processes or policies to ensure you’re a green business? Nominate yourself and let everyone know how you’re protecting our precious planet.

Business in the Community Hero

Do you know a company that supports the local community and deserves recognition for what they do?  We’re looking for business heroes who give something back to the borough. Whether they’re involved in fundraising or have supported charities or community groups, we want you to nominate your Business in the Community Hero.

Employment Hero

Do you know a local employer that exudes positivity – a great place to do business with because it’s a great place to work? A business that inspires employees to go the extra mile simply because they enjoy working there so much? This will doubtless be down to structured programmes of support, but it could take many forms – from personal development to a commitment to work-life balance to innovative reward and recognition schemes. And probably much else besides.

Skills Hero

Do you know an employer who’s a Skills Hero? A local business that’s committed to growing local skills and nurturing local talent? This could be via structured apprenticeship schemes or by wider support for young people through formal work experience, mentoring or similar programmes. It might be work that’s been sustained over a long period or something that’s been introduced more recently, but which is already having a meaningful impact.

Business to Business Hero

Businesses that support the growth of other businesses in the borough are true heroes and we want to hear about them. Has your company made a positive contribution to the success of another business? Or did you receive invaluable support from another business when you were starting out? Nominate your hero now.

Retail Hero

Have you found a shop that has it all? We’re asking satisfied shoppers to send in nominations for their retail hero. Whether they have staff that go the extra mile, the product range is out of this world or it adds something special to the community – nominate your favourite shop today.
