Tinies crèche, which opened in October 2019 at The Marlowes shopping centre, is a big hit with Hemel Hempstead parents according to new registration figures and parent feedback.
Tinies Daycare offers shoppers two hours of free childcare with any spend over £1 at the centre for children between two and ten years of age, and now PureGym members are also able to take advantage of the Tinies facility, receiving two hours of free childcare whilst they work out.
Since opening at The Marlowes, close to 1,000 parents have signed-up with Tinies. The crèche is open between the hours of 9-5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11-5pm on Sundays, with late hours on a Thursday when the crèche is open until 7pm. For safety reasons, children aged 2-3 years of age are able to use the crèche from 9am-3pm Monday to Friday during term time only.
Cassie Peasnell, The Marlowes Marketing Manager, commented: “It’s fantastic to see so many parents using the Tinies facility. We launched the crèche for parents using the centre to give them somewhere they felt comfortable leaving their children if they needed some time to run errands alone, do some shopping or even hit the gym!”
PureGym, the UK’s biggest gym chain, opened its doors in The Marlowes on 20th December 2020, offering well-priced, 24 hour service to members.
Cassie continues: “We’re excited to be able to offer parents a tiny bit more ‘me time’, and with the opening of PureGym, we’re even more excited to combine these two offerings. For parents who are PureGym members, the crèche is free for two hours.”
The launch of PureGym and Tinies marks the start of a huge investment into The Marlowes, which will see an additional £17m spent over the next 18 to 24 months to enhance the centres leisure offering.
Parents at The Marlowes have already been making the most of Tinies:
Robyn: “I cannot thank Tinies and The Marlowes enough, my son hates shopping but he thoroughly enjoys the crèche and the staff are fantastic.”
Jade: “What a difference Tinies makes to the whole shopping experience. Five stars!”
Nicki: “The [Tinies] staff were so friendly and welcoming, we’ll definitely be back.”
