HHBA, Capital & Regional and The Marlowes team is thrilled to welcome Humphrey Mwanza as the new General Manager at The Marlowes centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Humphrey began his new position in September and brings extensive knowledge of the retail industry, including over 16 years of management and retail experience, to The Marlowes.
Prior to joining, Humphrey held various roles within major fashion retail companies, such as Store Manager for Debenhams and Regional Business Manager for New Look where he managed 16 stores for over ten years. Humphrey’s background is firmly rooted in retail and he has a deep understanding of the sector and its importance to local communities.
Humphrey has a clear vision for The Marlowes and is eager to immerse himself in the local community and make sure the centre keeps its guests at the heart of all that it does. Humphrey’s commitment to the importance of community is such that he has moved to Hemel Hempstead to be close to his work and understand the people that The Marlowes serves.
Humphrey will work closely with the centre’s retail customers. fine-tuning and aligning the shopping and guest experience so that the community’s needs, expectations and preferences are continually exceeded and in so doing, driving growth in footfall and revenue
Humphrey joins Capital & Regional at a time of significant investment into The Marlowes. The centre has just announced an innovative collaboration with renowned Ofsted-approved childcare and creche provider Tinies Childcare. In December, Pure Gym, the UK’s largest gym by membership, will open its doors and give The Marlowes’ guests the opportunity to take advantage of 24-hour gym membership. Over the next 18 to 24 months, Capital & Regional will be making further investment in the centre in excess of £15m to continue the improvements to its leisure offer, including the introduction of a new Empire cinema, casual dining options and a food court.
