Sales have surged at the UK arm of computer printer giant Epson, newly filed results have revealed.
Hemel Hempstead Business Ambassador Epson (UK) Ltd turned over £180.8m in the year to 31 March 2018, up from £163.2m 12 months earlier.
Gross profit was flat at £24.3m, although pre-tax profits increased to £2.5m from £2.2m.
The company said the hike was down to a fall in pension costs, offset by decreased sales profitability caused by a change in sales mix.
Epson is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese giant Seiko Epson Corporation (SEC). Its UK arm has its head office in Hemel Hempstead and the business operates a representative office in Dublin.
SEC started life as Daiwa Kogyo Ltd in 1942.
