Amazon, one of the biggest retailers in the world is preparing for one of the biggest shopping days of the world. Staff at the company’s fulfillment centre in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire are preparing for their busiest Black Friday on record. The company is going to be putting on 10 days of deals starting today (Friday 16th) and going beyond Black Friday itself, which falls next week.
Hemel Hempstead workers are getting ready for a frantic festive season of picking and packing, with millions of Brits set to snap up the limited time deals in the run up to Christmas. Amazon is offering more deals than ever before on thousands of Christmas products. The online shopping website is set to have new ‘Deals of the Day’ every day, offering lower rates on Amazon devices, electronics, toys, fashion, sports and beauty.
There will also be thousands of ‘Lightning Deals’ – products available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time – with new deals becoming available as often as every five minutes. Amazon says it has also introduced new ways to make shopping easier this Black Friday, including AR View, which enables mobile shoppers to see products in their home before they buy, using augmented reality technology.
