The Marlowes host Hemel’s second Food & Drink Festival this month

For the second year running, The Marlowes Shopping Centre will be hosting the Hemel Summer Food & Drink Festival on 21st & 22nd July.

Taking inspiration from the success of last year’s festival, across the weekend there will be free fun for the whole family with delicious street food traders, artisan market stalls, live music and a range of fantastic kid’s entertainment. Local Hertfordshire traders will be selling a variety of street food dishes from all across the globe – from authentic Asian and Spanish cuisine to cake stalls and ice cream.

Vince Williams, Centre Manager at The Marlowes, said: “We’re very excited to be hosting the second Summer Festival. Last year was a huge success and we’re looking forward to bringing the Hemel community together to taste the fantastic selection of food and drink we’re offering, as well as a wide collection of kid’s activities and entertainment too.

“The Marlowes is passionate about showcasing the very best of Hertfordshire which is why we’re so very pleased to be gathering a selection of local food, music and entertainment talent to be a part of this year’s festival.”

This year, The Marlowes Kid’s Club will also play a key role in creating a family friendly environment that will give families the opportunity to spend quality time together whilst experiencing something new during the summer holidays. There will be face painting alongside a prize offering trail and other activities that can be enjoyed whilst parents indulge in the range of stalls and adult entertainment available.

Williams added: “As with last year, we’re welcoming all ages along. There will be something to suit everyone; whether you’re a big foodie looking to experience an eclectic mixture of cuisines or a family looking for a fun way to spend the weekend. We’re thrilled that we’ve been able to host the Summer Food & Drink Festival again this year and we’re confident that this year is going to be roaring success.”
