“Achieving these Green Flag awards for Canal Fields, Chipperfield Common, the Tring Memorial Garden, Bunkers Park and the Water Gardens mean that the hard work and commitment of everyone involved is recognised, and I would like to thank the community and volunteer groups, together with council staff, for their hard work and dedication in making this happen.“

To be awarded a Green Flag a park or open space must meet certain standards. These include being a welcoming place, healthy, safe and secure, well maintained and clean and having the support and involvement of the local community.

A Green Flag flying overhead is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.
