Mediation Hertfordshire has been honoured with the MBE for Voluntary Organisations.

Buckingham Palace has announced today, that Mediation Hertfordshire has been awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2018.  This award was created by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2002 to recognise excellence in voluntary activities carried out by groups in the community – the MBE for Volunteer organisations.

Commenting on the award, the Chairman of the Independent Assessment Committee Sir Martyn Lewis CBE said, “This Award represents a tremendous achievement for your organisation.  We hope that everyone involved, and particularly your volunteers, feel immensely proud of the recognition that this Award represents.

Chair of Mediation Hertfordshire, Mr Duncan Jarrett OBE added, “Mediation Hertfordshire has a wonderful, diverse group of volunteers, who work year-round to deliver a quality mediation service to the Hertfordshire community.  To be recognised for their work in such a significant way, reflects their commitment and dedication.  It is a very humbling experience in both gaining the award and for the tireless efforts of all our team at Mediation Hertfordshire.  It is particularly special for this Award to be presented to us in the year that this organisation celebrates its 20th anniversary of resolving conflict and rebuilding relationships throughout Hertfordshire.”
