Hemel Hempstead Football Club Raise £1,000 for the Collett School

Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club took on a special twist to “Movember” by growing facial hair and raising £1,000 for The Collett School.

Their home game on Saturday 24 March saw Executive Headteacher, Stephen Hoult-Allen be presented with a cheque from Sir Mike Penning, MP and Club Captain Jordan Parkes on behalf of the Club.

Anna Patsalides, Vice Chair of the Governors and a solicitor at Hemel Hempstead Town shirt sponsors and Collett supporters Underwoods Solicitors, said:

“I am very proud to act as Vice Chair of the Governors for Collett School and would like to thank the football club and the 1st team playing squad and management for their very kind and generous donation.

It is not just the money; it is the recognition by the football club – at the heart of the community – of what Stephen and the amazing staff at the school do for these very special children.”

The Collett School is a very special school in Hemel Hempstead for children aged 4 to 17.

The school caters for nearly 130 children with learning disabilities and complex needs including Multiple Learning Difficulties, cerebral palsy, Tourrette’s syndrome and Batton’s disease.

Collett School is one of the lowest funded schools in the county despite the fact that it caters for children with complex needs and significant disabilities.
