On Wednesday 14 March 2018 Business Ambassadors The Astley Cooper School, and Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce will be giving the opportunity to many local companies, higher education and careers organisations to exhibit at their Careers Fair.
The Fair will run across the afternoon and into early evening. This year the whole school is getting involved, especially Year 11, 12 and 13 students. Many will have the opportunity to attend during their school day and others will be able to attend during the evening with carers/parents up until 6:30pm.
Operating an extensive careers information programme, the Astley Cooper School has introduced an extensive whole school careers programme in order to raise their awareness of what options are available.
You are invited to join them at the school between 1.00pm and 6.30pm. It is anticipated that there will be approximately 200-250 students attending until 3.30pm. Invitations have also be sent to parents/carers of these students asking if they would also like to come along from 3.30pm until 6.30pm.
There is also the opportunity for exhibitors to run break-out sessions in parallel to the careers fair. This will allow a more personalised and focused approach and compliment the activities in the main hall.
The Career Fair would continue in its usual format from 3.15pm until 6.30pm, alongside any breakout sessions. All students, parents and carers from the remaining school year groups would then be invited to attend. This would probably amount to at least another 100 plus people attending.
The Astley Cooper School are asking for your participation, to set up a stand (and break-out session if appropriate) where students, parents and carers can come along and talk to you about what you offer.
