Feedback from Businesses

“Excellent all round, students were polite and asked good questions and seemed to appreciate the advice they were given. It was good to mix up the older students with younger.”

“It was a fantastic opportunity for students and business leaders to come together in an informal but structured way.”

“Excellent atmosphere aided by the format which was relaxed but purposeful and ensured contributions from all attendees.”

“Students were very inspirational and it’s exciting that we have some talented individuals to fill the future recruitment needs.”

Feedback from Students

“By having the opportunity of talking to a variety of businesses, the advice we were given ranged from interviewer techniques to what they look for in an employer. ”

“Useful to establish what different businesses expect when employing people. By having this knowledge, we have more of a firm understanding of how to adapt and develop ourselves to what they require.”

“We were given advice about CV’s and what they consider as strengths and weaknesses. By knowing this, we have learned the skill of prioritising certain achievements and work experience that we have participated in.”

“Each business stated the characteristics that they valued the most in a person. This allowed the students to focus on different aspects of developing their character.”

Following this successful inaugural event, the Hemel Hempstead Business Ambassadors will be looking to develop additional events.
